Adding GM Basic Transponder Keys Must Have 2 Working Key (Manual Procedure) Up to 2017 Models
- Insert a master/working key and switch the ignition on.
- Insert the SECOND master/working key and switch the ignition on.
- Wait for the security/immobilizer light to go out. Switch ignition off and remove the key.
- Quickly insert a UN-programed key and switch the ignition on.
- Wait for the security/immobilizer light to go out. Switch ignition off and remove the key.
- The key is now programmed.
Adding GM Basic Transponder Keys All Keys Lost (Manual Procedure) 2017 and Newer Models
NOTE: You Must Add Two Keys For Vehicle To Start And Run.
- Switch ignition on with a new non-programed master key.
- The security/immobilizer light or a message will come on the dash.
- After approximately 10 minutes the security/immobilizer light or a message will go out.
- switch the ignition off.
- Wait 5 seconds.
- Switch ignition back on with the same non-programmed master key.
- The security/immobilizer light or a message will come on the dash.
- After approximately 10 minutes the security/immobilizer light or a message will go out.
- switch the ignition off.
- Wait 5 seconds.
- Switch ignition back on with the same non-programmed master key.
- The security/immobilizer light or a message will come on the dash.
- After approximately 10 minutes the security/immobilizer light or a message will go out.
- switch the ignition off.
- Wait 5 seconds.
- Try and start the vehicle it will now start with no light/message on the dash.
- The key is programmed.
