Verify your vehicle's year, make, and model are on the attached list of compatible vehicles before attempting these programming steps.
- Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
- Insert the key into the ignition.
- Press and hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel until instructed to release it in step 8.
- Perform steps 5 through 8 in a fairly rapid succession.
- Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine).
- Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
- Turn the ignition to the ON position.
- Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
- Release the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel. The door locks should lock and unlock automatically, indicating the vehicle is in pairing mode. If the locks do not cycle, the vehicle has not entered pairing mode, and you must start over. Remove the key from ignition, open the driver’s door, and return to step 1.
- Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote until the doors lock and unlock. This may take up to 30 seconds.
- Repeat step 9 for any additional remotes, including any existing remotes.
- Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit pairing mode.
- Test all remotes
