      2009 Dodge Ram Pickup Truck Remote Programming Instructions

      Instructions for Remote/Key programming

      NOTE: This procedure can only be used on vehicles built in the USA. You must have two working programmed Remote/keys before you can add a third remote/key. If you only have one working remote/key and want to add a second key this procedure will not work. A maximum of 8 remotes can be programmed.

      1. Using the first program remote/key turn the ignition to the ON position for 5 seconds. (Do not crank the engine). Turn the remote/key off and remove it.
      2. Within 5 seconds insert the second working programmed remote/key. Turn the ignition to the ON position (Do not crank the engine) security light will begin to flash and a chime will be heard within 10 seconds. Turn the remote/key off and remove it. NOTE: Some vehicles will not chime, only the security light will flash.
      3. Within 5 seconds insert the third new cut remote/key and turn the ignition to the ON position (Do not crank the engine). The security light should start flashing and within 10 seconds you should hear a chime and the security light should go out. Once the security light goes out, the new remote/key should be programmed. Turn the remote/key to the OFF position, and remove the key.
      4. Test key and remote.

      Instructions for FOBIK programming

      NOTE: You must have two working programmed remotes before you can add a third remote. If you only have one working remote and want to add a second remote this procedure will not work. A maximum of 8 remotes can be programmed.

      1. Using the first programmed remote turn ignition to the ON position for 3 seconds but no longer than 15 seconds. (Do not crank the engine). Turn the remote off and remove it.
      2. Within 15 seconds insert the second working programmed remote. Turn the ignition to the ON position (Do not crank the engine) After 10 seconds an acoustic signal will be heard and the immobilizer warning lamp will flash. Turn the remote OFF and remove the second program remotely.
      3. Within 60 seconds insert a third new non-programed remote into the ignition and turn to the ON position (Do not crank the engine). After 10 seconds an acoustical signal will be heard and the immobilizer warning lamp will illuminate for 3 seconds.
      4. Turn the remote to the OFF position and remove it.
      5. Test remotes.

      NOTE: Repeat the procedure for additional remotes if required.
