2004 - 2008 Mazda RX-8 Remote Programming Instructions

NOTE: For RX-8's without smart entry system

1. Remove the key from ignition.
2. Close all doors.
3. Open driver's door.
4. Perform the following steps within 24 seconds. Turn ignition switch on and back to lock position three times
5. Close and open driver's door three times
6. Door locks should lock and unlock automatically.  If they do not, wait 40 seconds and repeat the procedure starting at step one.
7. Press the unlock button twice on each keyless remote that is to be programmed, door locks should lock and unlock after each remote is programmed. If the door locks do not lock and unlock proceed as follows. Close and open the driver's door once, the door should lock and unlock twice. If door locks do not lock and unlock, start the procedure over with Step three.
8. Exit vehicle and test remote(s)
