      1996 - 1997 Acura TL, 1997 - 1998 Isuzu Oasis, 1993 - 1994 Isuzu Trooper Remote Programming Instructions

       

      NOTE: During these instructions, you will be asked to INSERT, and then REMOVE your key from the ignition lock cylinder 5 times within 10 seconds. These steps enter the computer into programming mode and make it able to accept new remotes into its memory. When doing each insertion/removal cycle, be sure to move quickly and smoothly (about one insert/remove cycle per second) and withdraw the key entirely from the key slot. If the key remains touching the cylinder during the process you will have to start over.


      1. OPEN driver's door.
      2. PRESS and HOLD the UNLOCK switch on the driver's door and continue to HOLD until instructed to release.
      3. Within 10 seconds, INSERT the key into the ignition and REMOVE it five (5) times.
      4. INSERT the key a sixth (6) time and leave it in the Ignition. The vehicle will respond by cycling the locks indicating entry into programming mode.
      5. PRESS the LOCK OR UNLOCK Button on the remote. The vehicle will respond by cycling the locks indicating successful programming of the remote.
      6. REPEAT Step 5 within 10 seconds for each additional remote to be programmed.
      7. RELEASE the UNLOCK button on the driver's door to exit programming mode.
      8. Test all remotes. Programming is now complete.
