1996 - 2004 Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile Remote Programming Instructions (Select Models: See Attached List)

NOTE: Verify your vehicle's year, make, and model are on the attached list of compatible vehicles before attempting to use this programming procedure.

  1. Locate the Data Link Port. It is located under the driver's side dash.mceclip0.png
  2. Make sure there are metal contact pins in terminals 8 and 4. Connect 8 to 4 with a suitable jumper wire (leave the jumper wire connected throughout the Programming procedure).
  3. The vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors to signify entering programming mode.
  4. Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the first remote to be programmed. After about 15 seconds, the vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors.
  5. Release the buttons on the remote. Within one minute, repeat the previous step on the remaining remotes to be programmed.
  6. Remove jumper wire applied to the OBDII Port.
