NOTE: You cannot program keys to your vehicle unless you have two working keys on hand. If you have one or no current keys, you must go to a locksmith or a dealer to program the key(s) to your vehicle. The key(s) will need to be cut by a professional before programming can occur.
- Insert an existing working key into the ignition cylinder.
- Turn the ignition cylinder to on (run) and back to off.
- Remove the existing working key and, within five seconds, insert a second working key and turn it to the on position (run) then back off.
- Remove the second working key and insert the new key before ten seconds have elapsed and turn it to the on position (run).
- Leave it on for one second and turn it back off.
- The security light will light up for three seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.
