      2000 Volkswagen Beetle Remote Programming Instructions

      1. Insert master key into the ignition lock and switch on the ignition. (Do not start car.)
      2. Using a second key on driver's door lock (or remove the lock and then use a screwdriver),
      3. lock the vehicle from the outside manually (use key in door lock).
      4. Press unlock button on the remote control one time.
      5. Wait at least two seconds or more.
      6. Press unlock button on the remote control one time.
      7. Wait at least two seconds or more.
      8. Manually open car using key in door lock.
      9. Remove key from ignition and test your remote.
